Nothing for You

Rashed A.
April 9, 2020, 16:00

Rashed shared with us the first reading from an essay he wrote in residence at Dar Jacir. The essay is based on his first time returning to Palestine. It is part memoir and part critique on the mythologies of return.

Rashed A. is a Palestinian-Jordanian writer living in London. He’s been published in The Cardiff Review and Smith Journal. He is the co-founder of LIFTA, a studio and small press based between Mexico City and the Middle East.

Rashed was an artist-in-residence at Dar Jacir in the fall of 2019.

This event was part of Dar Jacir's online program organized in response to the coronavirus emergency. Foregrounding solidarity and care our program focused on bringing together our family of artists, writers, musicians, filmmakers and dancers to lead programs and remain connected while we are physically separated.
