In conjunction with the screening of her award-winning documentary Wild Relatives, Jumana Manna, will provide a unique overview on her practice and artistic journey in filmmaking and sculpture. Moderated by filmmaker Aïda Kaadan, this masterclass will highlight how the artist explores the ways in which social, political and interpersonal forms of power interact with the human body. By showing fragments of her diverse and inter-disciplinary work that continues to subvert the conventional conception of national and historical narratives, Jumana Manna will discuss how she keeps finding new paths of expression that surprise and challenge the audience.
