Dar Jacir’s Archives
Emily Jacir2018
For the first time a selection of photographs from Dar Jacir’s archives dating to the first quarter of the twentieth century (1900-1930’s) is shown to the public. Emily Jacir chose a group of photos that show life in and around Dar Jacir itself; family photographs, weddings, as well as marching troops. The photographs include ones taken by well-known photographers Taufik Basil and Khalil Raad as well as photographs taken by a handheld camera by the family themselves.
