Incontro tra la Pizzica e la Dabka

December 6 – 9, 2019

Dar Jacir welcomed the Scuola di Pizzica di San Vito and the World Music Academy to Bethlehem between December 6th through 9th, 2019, in which dancers and musicians from Puglia collaborated with local musicians and dancers for a first encounter and research for a performance in 2020. Initially slated to take place in a public piazza in Bethlehem, we instead performed live on facebook the culmination of our initial workshop days on December 9 th , 2019.
The project is continuing forward with new workshops and performances planned after the pandemic is over.
